I'm located in Natchez, Mississippi. Unlike many, my interest in photography didn't start until middle age. Earlier in life, I had enjoyed drawing and painting wildlife art, but found it too time-consuming and pretty much gave it up.
In the late 90s, I bought a Canon Rebel and a 75-300 lens, and the interest began. With the advent of digital, I switched to the D30, a long lens and a zoom or two. With the instant feed back of digital, I quickly learned about exposure and also to play and learn from the feed back. I haven't looked back since.
My photographic interest is that of a wildlife generalist. Occasionally, I take a people shot or two, but I prefer the outdoors and the things that go on there.
My intent is to present wildlife in its natural state, which includes the good, the bad, and the ugly of nature. Hopefully, my photographs artfully portray the beauty of our natural world and the creatures in it.
My real job is a catastrophe insurance adjuster. This allows me extensive travel and, naturally, the camera is nearby so when the job is done, I look for new places and creatures to photograph.
Other interests include travel, an occasional round of golf and a little exercise when possible.
